Both creatures can resist fire spells, so we recommend avoiding those. They move fast and will dart away quickly, so players will have to hurry in order to beat them.

Once a Cactuar spawns, players need to use Daggers and Guns to take them down quickly. And now you can have an encounter with 1 qactuar in it, just by running around normally. Then wait for it to start glowing, and when it does, press the square button while facing it. You have to go to a “cactuar stone”, a stone with a picture of a qactuar in it. The mini-game for Vachella is the same as the previous but much more difficult. Touch the Save Sphere under the ruins and the tent to make it appear. Vachella can be found near the oasis at the start of the Sanubia Desert (Sanubia Desert – East). To kill Cactuars out right you need either a character with really high accuracy aka Wakka most likely, or you need a supply of gems which will over kill one to two of the Cactuars. If you pray to one you will get an encounter with one, if you pray to two you will get an encounter with two and so on…. You have to make sure you have prayed to at least one of the statues (glowing – press square). You can find them where ever in Thunder Plains.
